FAN SUBMITTED TOUR REVIEWS & REMARKS

What an evening!
Rain the whole day, but dry throughout the bands performances.
Axel Rudi Pell was really appreciated.
Doro tried her best, but...
Then we all waited for THE band to start. And they didn't dissapoint. Setlist was exactly the same to all other gigs.
The band seems to have fun on stage. Ronnie constantly in conversation with Tony.
The filming of the show for German TV (WDR), did not disturb. But no cameras on stage during H & H-set. Suppose the Rockpalast-team has captured the atmosphere. They are old hands (Remember the Rainbow-concert in Munich 1976?).
And then the band started Heaven and hell (the song), Ronnie doing his best to make it an unforgettable experience... He mixed up the beginning and started with the second verse: "The lover of life's..." instead of "Sing me a song"!!!!
Tony noticed and then Ronnie as well. He seemed to be a little confused during the rest of the song... smile.
So, you will have to watch the show an TV carefully!
95 minutes - much tooooo short!
Next day I went to Zürich, which was a nice intimate place. But that's another story...

The gig at Bonn was a semi-open-air concert between two big museums in the former German Capital. Very nice venue with more or less 4500 spectactors. The special guests were Axel Rudi Pell and Doro, two well known German classic rock bands, which were well received.

Heaven And Hell started at 8.20 p.m. and even before the gig, fans started singing the band´s name song. Ronnie and the guys played the set we all know from this tour, but nevertheless we did not feel it like a routine concert. Tony and Ronnie were smiling all the time and talking to each other a lot. I have the feeling that they are enjoying this tour and their time together. Even Tony was making jokes when he got thrown a bra. Tony did looked at it in a strange way like saying: “Had I lost my bra?” Nice was also the mistake Ronnie did at Heaven And Hell when he sang the second verse first and did noticed it after a while. He wanted to stop but the band continued playing and laughing. So Ronnie sang the original first verse as the second. It will be interesting to see this when German TV (WDR-Chanell) will broadcast it in July. The killer riff of “Follow The Tears” is tremendous in the live version. In general the new songs were welcomed by the crowd, specially “Bible Black”.

“Heaven And Hell” was 20 minutes long, but I liked it very much although there were some jazzy and bluesy improvisations. The end of this song with the “Devil” part and a red stage is quiet impressive, when Ronnie shines in the red light. At the end it was a very special moment for me to listen for the first time live to “Country Girl”. Also it was combined with “Neon Knights” it was nice to hear this riff. The concert ended at 9.55 p.m. and I am very proud that at least I had the opportunity to see one of my favourite line-ups in Rock History.
