FAN SUBMITTED TOUR REVIEWS & REMARKS
(I refuse to call them H&H when we all know they are black sabbath)I saw black sabbath their "the dio years tour in 2007, and it was awesome although it was at S:R:F and the lenght of the setlist suffered from time restrictions. this time around I was looking forward to seeing them play a longer set and at an indoor venue which usually means better sound. in the case of the latter I must say that the sound they got in oslo spektrum was dreadful, and they seriously need to find a better fronthouse soundegineer... I won't say anything negative about the band, because they played VERY well, and had a spontanety about them that one seldom sees these days. but back to the matter of the soundguy, because he would have done a better job just by leaving the faders the way they were when the band went on. sometimes the guitar was too loud, other times, for instace the middel section of "die young" was basicly guitarless!! and stuff like that simply doesn't cut it when you're responsible for the sound of a band the size of black sabbath! dreadful!!!
the setlist was ok...I would very much have liked to hear one or two of the new recordings from the Dio years release, but one can't have everything one wants all the time!
missed "voodoo" and "sign of the southern..." as well, but it was awesome to hear new tracks like "follow the tears" and "bible black" live!!
the band was in great shape, and vinnie even managed to hit all his drums at one point or another during the concert! ;)
as a concluding note, I must admit it wasn't as magical as I had hoped it would be, due to a soundguy I would have liked to met, but with a band like sabbath you can never really go entirely wrong!
up the Sabs!
