What can I say, it was an awesome night.
Looking forward to seeing any form of Sabbath as they had not toured
here for 27 years.Down started at
7.30 sharp and played to a smallish crowd - it was an early start for
most concert goers but they were solid and did a great job opening.
At 9.00 Heaven & Hell took the stage and
played the standard set list as per other concerts. For one & a half
hours we were treated to a brilliant show. Sound was excellent and the
band enjoyed themselves as did the adoring crowd of 7000.
Tony was superb, Geezer as solid as ever,
Vinne a machine behind the drums and Dio belted out as good as ever
given the long our.
It was certainly worth the wait and I
only hope Black Sabbath - the original and best do make a final world
tour as I would love to see them as well on more time - it has been 30+
years since they were here.
