Joe:

Just wanted to put my 2 cents in regarding the Ozzfest Florida show on May
27. I am a little older (33) than your average Ozzfest concert goer.
However, Sabbath is my favorite band of all time and I did go to their show
in NJ on Feb. 5. I must say that they were better this time around. Since
it was the first show of the tour, Ozzy's voice was in good form and I
suppose second row center seating made it that much more pleasurable. Loud
is an understatement. Iommi's sound was cranked, which was fine with me.
They exhibited more energy than the bands that were half their age. Let's
face it, Ozzy is the consummate entertainer! The only other band that I
went to my seats to watch was Slayer. I have always been a big supporter of
them and of course I saw them in my younger days. Hell, not to mention
their younger days. They are are still brutally aggressive and pertinent.
It was a good event. No problems, no real violence, but of course down here
the cops are prevalent at these shows. Anyway, if you are interested in any
type of review let me know. I wrote for a music magazine in NYC for about
three years. Thanks for your efforts on a great website!!

well since it appears nobody else has posted anything here goes we arrived
late around 4:00 pm not really sure who was on stage except that they were
of no consequence to me I was here to see SABBATH ..... I do remember
slayer not really into them it sounded pretty bad on the lawn too I hoped
it would get better soundwise I think the next band was deftones not really
into them either although the sound was slightly better I think zombie was
next and he kicked ass I was really surprised at how good it was the sound
was improving even more although the idiots at coral sky could not get all
the video monitors to work right oh well at this point I was really
wondering if Sabbath would be able to rock as hard as zombie did as they
were kinda old and I had not seen SABBATH since the `80,s well my fears
were soon laid to rest the light s went down the stage was bathed in
whiteish/purplish lights and the siren went off and they BLASTED into war
pigs damn they were awesome heavier than ever... overall sound wise a few
minor glitches no big deal a few missed lyrics no big deal...... also from
what I have seen and read this was the only show were they played Sabbath
bloody Sabbath and it was kinda abbreviated but I was stoked to actually
hear it at all they also did lord of this world which I guess they dropped
later as well which is too bad cause it rocked hard overall I am damn glad
I finally got to see the REAL SABBATH they rocked harder and heavier then I
thought possible!!!!!!!
