Hello everybody:
I just got back home to New Orleans from the Sabbath show in Bolixi,MS.
The band played 90min and all material covered was from the first four albums
only. They played the intro to Supernaut as a teaser for paranoid.

The most interesting thing for me was that I could see
Geoff Nicholes (I
think it was him) playing the keyboards, he was located to geezers right.
I have now fully seen for myself the very important role this guy plays for
the band. I do know that he was singing directly into a microphone exactly
with all the singing ozzy was doing. If his vioce is actually coming out
of the sound system to the audience I dn not know but he was using the mic
exactly at the same time as ozzy... what do ya'll think?

More important than that it appeared that Geoff was the "director" if you
will... A few times it looked as if the band lost there place, and when I
would think this I would look over at
Geoff and he would sometimes have is
hands in the air clapping and helping the boys get back on track. And a
couple of times I think Tony would abruptly extend his solo an odd number
of measures and you could see Geoff ( it would appear) make Tony coutinue
some more to get back on track. Overall I would say that he really played
a major role and without him I am not sure if there are many other people
would would be brave enough to take this "sideman" job. I hope that this
guy is being paid well because untill now I had only thought of him as a
side man or "paid help", however now I am very impressed with him and I
would like the readers of this list to write to me and let me know
everything that you know about him.... He is really an important part of
the group.

Joe,
I saw Black Sabbath August 2, 1999 in Biloxi, Mississippi. They were
great. Easily the loudest concert I've been to in a while (during the
opening of Black Sabbath, I could actually feel Terry Butler's bass in my
gonads). The band was tight and energetic. Yet, the set list
concentrated a little too much on Master of Reality. Other than that, the
best show I have seen in the last two years (including Satriani,
Aerosmith, Foo Fighters, Page/Plant). Opening acts Drain STH and
Godsmack were both very good. The concert was slated to start at 7:00
p.m., but actually started about ten minutes early! The big video screens
were a definite plus. Not only for the film footage for the songs, but
also for close-ups of Tony Iommi's fingers! Guitar players love to see
that. In summary, a show that was no doubt worth the four hour plus drive
to go see and I would gladly go see again.

I was at the Black Sabbath Concert in Biloxi, MS on Aug. 2. I live about 45
minutes from the coliseum so I was exstatic when I heard they were coming
to the Coast. Well let me tell you the entire story. My stepdad was taking
me and my sister to the concert since he is a Sabbath fan from way back and
My sister and i love ozzy and Sabbath. So anyway we were about a mile from
the Coliseum when our car started messing up...my step dad figured the
transmission was slipping or something like that....anyway I was praying
that we would at least make it to a parking spot. But as luck would have
it...our car died 10 feet from the parking lot right in the middle of the
street. Talk about embarrassing. Well anyway my step dad called a tow truck
and he made me and my sister go on inside. He told us we weren't missing
it. So we left him a ticket and went inside bought a t-shirt and went to
find out seats. We were in Row 14 of the Balcony but we could see really
good back stage. we were kinda to the side of the main stage. So anyway
DrainSTH played and They were ok But I didn't like them that much. Anyway
next was Godsmack. They were awsome...they are like my sisters favorite
band. Then finally the lights dimmed and I saw them walking onto the stage.
Then Ozzy began singing War Pigs. It was awsome... I was screaming and
singing along with it...infact I sang along with most of the songs...and
the rest of the time I was screaming and yelling...when Ozzy first started
singing My sister turned to me and yelled (it was really loud in there)
"Your in the same building as Ozzy Osbourne !" and I was wigging
out...anyway at the end of the concert fireworks shot up and it was
awsome...and the crowd was going wild so they came back out and sang
Paranoid and Children of the Grave. then Black and Maroon Confetti went all
over the auditorium. I was deaf and hoarse when I left but I loved every
minute of it. I stayed up all night long after the concert because i was
still going from the adreniline I had worked up at the concert. I didn't go
to sleep until 11 pm the next day. Anyway that is my Ozzy concert review. I
hope you like it and plz spell check it for me...I am a horrible speller.
Thank you

Farrah
