Notes
- The track Iron Man from this album was given a Grammy Award for “Best Metal Performance” on February 23, 2000.
- This album is a double live disc/tape. It was taken from the December 4 & 5 live shows at the NEC.
- There is a limited edition Digipac available in addition to the standard CD. The only difference is the digipac packaging. Pictures, and the CD insert are exactly the same as the standard CD.
- This is the only Black Sabbath album to be released on the now discontinued Sony “Minidisc” format.
- Selling My Soul uses a drum machine. Bill’s laid down track was deemed “too out-of-time”, so they used a drum machine instead.
- The two new studio tracks were rumoured (but weren’t) to have been written during the sessions for Ozzy’s Ozzmosis album.
- A working title for this album was “Songs from the Black Box”.
- There was an Epic record label website for this album that had the domain blacksabbath.com as a forwarding URL. It survived online with the forward until around 2002 or so. The actual pages on the Epic site surived until around 2007 or so, and are no longer directly available in October 2011. You can, however see a (mostly) still functioning copy of it here on archive.org.
- (Egocentric remark alert) – My name is in the list of Thank You’s – thanks to Bill Ward for fulfilling a lifelong dream of mine to have my name in a Black Sabbath record (see image).

Psycho Man
The midnight hour approaches
The killing chill takes over him
His victims will not know when he appears
The lust of Death’s possession
Will overtake his psycho mind
He won’t be happy ’till he smells their fear
He’s the Angel of Death
Psycho Man
Psycho Man
(Angel of Death)
Looking for a victim wherever he can
He’s the Angel of Death
Psycho Man
Psycho Man
(Angel of Death)
He’s a killer
Addicted to their madness
The taste of death that lives within
He loves it when he tastes their final breath
Stalking gives him pleasure
Killing is the final act
He takes no pity with his lust for death
He’s the Angel of Death
Psycho Man
Psycho Man
(Angel of Death)
Looking for a victim wherever he can
He’s the Angel of Death
Psycho Man
Psycho Man
(Angel of Death)
He’s a killer
Playing in his twilight zone
He knows that he’s the best
Creeping through the streets alone ’till he finds his
victim’s (ex/next)
Killing gives him pleasure
Sleeping gives him pain
The only time he’s feeling good is when he’d killed and killed again
When he’s killed again
When he’s killed again
When he’s killed again
When he’s killed again
When he’s killed again
When he’s killed again…
Watch out!
He’s the Angel of Death

Selling My Soul
Man of madness who lives in my head
Keeping me awake at night he sits on my bed
He drives me crazy, he won’t go away
Playing his game every night and everyday, yeah-ah
My mind feels heavy, my body feels weak
Suicidal thoughts crying out for some sleep
Impending doom is what I’m about
Think I’m going mad without a shadow of doubt
I sense a serenity yeah
Is it really out there?
I don’t read the holy books ’cause they take me nowhere
I can’t hold on yes I’m losing control
I’m paying the price now for… Selling My Soul
Selling My Soul

For Selling My Soul
I knew about the ozzfest reunions without bill and I knew about this show with Bill. I knew they were coming out with this. I didn’t feel any motivation to buy it. Then I heard a song on the radio. This song was Psycho Man. I thought it was a new Ozzy solo song. Then the radio announcer said that it was Black Sabbath. I’m like “what?!” I found out that they were back together trying to get a new album off the ground. Then, I hear that there’s another song on this album. So I go out and buy it. And these 2 songs kick ass. I was psyched for the new album. Well, I had to wait 15 years for that to happen.
I wish “Selling my soul” would have been played live…or at least had Bill on the skins.
Just curious…. who is the cherub child on the cover of Black Sabbath Reunion album?
