IOMMI ALBUM
The Tony Iommi solo album "Iommi" (whatever happened to that name the album contest on his web site? This couldn’t have been the winner) is still due to be released on October 10th. I’ve not been able to find it available for pre-order on any of the usual web sites. Once I do, I’ll make […]
Henry Rollins, Billy Corgan to Lend Hand to Iommi Solo LP
An article by Paul Robicheau of SonicNet This article originally appeared online here. It wasn’t hard for Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi to get Henry Rollins to appear on his all-star solo debut, Iommi. All he had to do was play Rollins the riff for “Laughing Man (In the Devil Mask).” “I said, ‘Whoa, that’s […]
MINOR UPDATE TO IOMMI STORY
A rep from Divine Recordings emailed me last night after I posted the story on Iommi last night. He told me the name of the bass player on the song – Laurence Cottle. Someone whose name should already be known to Sabbath fans (if you need a prod, he played bass on Headless Cross, and […]

TONY IOMMI SOLO ALBUM INFO
This past week Tony Iommi appeared on KNAC radio in Los Angeles, and answered a bunch of questions from one of the staffers there. Unfortunately, it wasn’t Mike Stark, who probably would have been a better interviewer. Why is it that when someone interviews one of the Sabbath members, they ask the same lame ass […]
IOMMI SOLO ALBUM UPDATE
There isn’t one – I wish to god I could tell you something, but I can’t. All I know is that it’s coming out on Priority Records, and is supposed to be out around the start of the Ozzfest 2000 (which Tony & Sabbath have nothing to do with). That’s all I know.
IOMMI STUFF
When I was going through my mail folders, I found the graphic shown to the right here. It’s an amusing ad for the Tony Iommi solo album (which is supposed to show up early in 2000). The ad is featured in the Ozzy Osbourne comic book published by Tom McFarlane (who also makes Ozzy’s action […]
