In my last story I speculated on the release of the old Sabbath albums in a new remastered format. Well, it appears that that decision may have already been made. In a press release that I skipped below (calling it "old news"), I missed this paragraph from it:
Over the next two years, the revered catalogue label will issue a Sabbath boxed set, followed by "upgrades" of each classic album, according to VP of A&R David McLees. The recent "Past Lives" concert collection was issued by Sanctuary and is not affiliated with the Rhino releases.
Now this is all the news I have on it, but again, if it sounds like the Symptom CD set, it will be well worth it to get when they’re released. I’m attempting to get some more info from record labels – if I hear anything, I’ll report back.
