About the List
The name
of the mailing list is "Pilgrims of Sabbocracy".
You can sign up for the mailing list on
this page. This is a moderated digest list, and is (usually) sent out once
a week. Sometimes there is more, but it generally comes down to whether or not I
have the time to put together a list. :) When there's a delay in
sending out the list, I usually get emails about it, so please try and
understand that if I miss a week or so, I haven't dropped off the face of the
earth - this is a hobby site for me, so I do this when I have time.
The size of the issues runs anywhere from
20k to 55k depending on how many submissions there are in any one given day. If you'd like to see a few recent samples,
you can check out the backissues area.
When you sign up for the list,
you'll receive an email shortly afterwards which will ask you to confirm your
signup. In Aug of 2002, I switched to a system where you have to verify
your email before you're added.
Please do this
first
Before you
sign up, please please PLEASE go read the Black Sabbath FAQ.
There's lots of questions that people ask over and over again that I don't even
bother putting out on the list because they get asked all the time. Also,
I alone reserve the right as to what content will be sent out over the list.
If you have a problem with this, don't sign up.
Notes
- AOL USERS: Make sure
when you sign up that you set up your Mail controls to accept mail from list@black-sabbath.com. I've had too many
people sign up for the list only not to set up their account to accept mail from the
list!!
- AOL USERS AGAIN: Don't
just type your screen name! You must put @aol.com on there, or nothing will happen.
- JUNO USERS:
I am aware that your mail limit is 64k. I have only gone over that limit
a few times. Believe me. When I go over, I know. I get everyone's
rejected Emails sent back to me. :)
